I had the pleasure of celebrating my son Eric’s wedding on Sat 21st February 26 at your beautiful Gear Homestead and wished to convey my thanks and appreciation for the contributions made by your staff who supported the occasion. They showed absolute attention to every detail, no request was beyond them and the care and efforts made towards the day ensured it was successful, memorable and professional in every aspect.
A specific mention must be made to the efforts of Beth who coordinated the many moving parts of the event, (understandingly) often at little notice but she accommodated these changes without any fuss or bother, allowing my wife and I time to focus on our role as parents of the Groom. Beth was wonderful to deal with and gave calm order and direction to the day’s proceeding to which we are truly appreciative.
The day was memorable on so many aspects. The food was presented with flair, creativity and passion and beverages served with great smiles and with a personal friendly rapport.
Gear Homestead allowed us to celebrate a family milestone in a manner and custom that we will treasure forever.

We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue than Gear Homestead for our wedding. We were nervous because there's a lot that can go wrong with a wedding but from the very beginning, Gear Homestead were an absolute dream to work with. Every interaction made us feel genuinely valued — not just like another booking, but like they truly cared about us and wanted our day to be everything we hoped for and it was! We didn't have a single issue on our day and I honestly think it came down to the team we had working with us.
Beth, the owner, is simply amazing. She went above and beyond at every stage, making the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made such a difference, and it was clear she was just as invested in the day as we were. She has such a calm and caring presence, which is exactly what you need on your special day! from setting up the venue exactly how we asked to taking care of the elderly guests ensuring they were comfortable right down to the pack down and send off she never faltered in her service I don't think we would have had such an amazing day without Beth.

We can seat 80 guests in the upstairs dining room. ​
Have more than 80 guests, or just fancy being outdoors for your reception? We have several marquee options available to hire and use on our lawns, catering for up to 150 guests in a seated buffet style. Price on enquiry.

Yes — all weddings at Gear Homestead are offered on an exclusive hire basis.
This means the entire venue and grounds are reserved solely for you and your guests for the duration of your celebration. From ceremony through to reception, you’ll enjoy complete privacy, uninterrupted use of the space, and the freedom to truly make the homestead your own.
